Past events:
29 October 2008, City of Greater
Dandenong Library
Halloween is always better when
shared with book loving friends! It was also great to see the class of
students of English as a Second Language along for the event. Many thanks
to Hanee for organising the talk and her enthusiastic welcome. |
17 October 2008, Melbourne
Science Fiction Club
Speaking at the club was a great
treat, particularly since the book is dedicated to one of its shining stars,
the late Ian Gunn. |

September 2008, Vampires, Vamps and Va Va Voom!
The symposium at Monash University
was very educational and entertaining, and many thanks to the Sidhe Literary
Collective, LJ Maher and Rebecca Do Rozario for the invitation!
(Image: Rebecca's presentation
on vampires as authors of their own narratives. It was more complicated
than that, however, and if the podcasts ends up on line I will link to
it) |
28 August 2008, The Pines
Library,
East Doncaster
Many thanks to Debbie and Juleigh
and everyone who came along to take part in a talk that encompassed writing,

My thanks and congratulations to
the people who braved a particularly cold, wet, winter night to come to
Sunbury library, and to Julie and Kat from the library who organised everything. |

Many thanks to Louise and Hellen

August 2008, Brunswick Library
Many thanks to Moreland library
for inviting me to talk - and producing such lovely posters and fliers
to promote the event! After the question-and-answer session, someone suggested
I should post a list of my favourite Melbourne bars to the website - so
look out for that in coming months!
The Community Programs Librarian,
Christine Hornby said: "Narrelle's talk about her book Opposite of life
was great - she was a vibrant and interesting speaker who takes an obvious
delight in her work and has a lot of fun with it. There was a lot of interaction
with the audience, with many great questions being asked. A very worthwhile
event."

May 2008, Craigieburn Library
Thank you to Craigieburn Library
for inviting me to talk to their readers and present prizes to the winners
of the library's writing competition for students from Year 2 to Year 12.
Congratulations to all the young writers out there for taking the first
big step of getting their work out there! The talk went very well, and
Josie Mitzie, who organised the talk, said "I have had some great feedback
from parents who thought you were fabulous." |
11 December 2007, Knife Fork
Bottle & Cork, 362 Little Bourke St, Melbourne
If you missed the launch of The

this
